From snooping around his grandma’s kitchen as a child to establishing his own kitchen, Chef Joe D’Andrea’s passion has never faltered. With each passing year that we’re in operation, we’re ecstatic to expand our capabilities, creations, and connections with our community.

Choosing the Right Pasta for Your Vera Box
How do you know you’re making the best decision with five or more types of dry pasta to choose from? Check out our guide below to help you choose the best pasta for your occasion:
Traditional Dry Pasta: Penne, Rigatoni, Fusilli, Radiatori, Oh My!
You can never go wrong with our selection of traditional dry pasta. Each pasta type is made with top-quality Semolina flour, Bronze die extruded, and dried at a low temperature for 24-36 hours. Like we said, great things take time!
If you’re craving a traditional piece of Italy, you’ll love our penne and rigatoni. The shape of penne is ideal for meat and tomato-based sauces like our Homemade Marinara. If you’re looking to add a bit more texture to your taste buds, our rigatoni is made with just the right amount of ridges.
Fusilli pasta also pairs well with tomato-based sauces. First originated in Southern Italy, it is traditionally formed by rolling strips of pasta over a small rod to create its shape. When translated into English, its name means “spiral-shaped pasta”.
Unlike its longer textured siblings, Radiatori’s shape is small and squat-like. You can use this pasta with tomato-based sauces, but also when making your favorite homemade soup, pasta salad, or casserole. Yum!
